I experiment with diverse range of semi-precious natural gems -rose quartz, druzy agate, ammonite, orthoceras fossil, jasper, carnelian, lapis lazuli, pearl, peridot, smoky quartz encrusted in 18k gold plated brass, 925 sterling silver, rose gold plated / antique silver plated brass. Semiprecious gems is our USP . Gems lapidary wholesale company SG (stonegalaxy) which my husband runs – I diversified it to a jewelry unit with the help of dedicated craftmen from Bengal. Its named “The Silver Lining” as is a ray of hope for both of us since we started 6 years ago , market in recession , Faruk back from Dubai ,Me on a two year sabbatical from my prolific career in International art events. We risked our nest egg in starting a jewelry unit which is now established and growing in Howrah, humble unit with 9 employees. We are passionate and perfection driven duo, Faruk’s knowledge and interest in gemstone is infectious and hence his passion has been the core of the company. I am an Art historian and critic, studied from Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda and have 7+ years of experience in Event industry (specializing in Art and Luxury brands), heading international projects such as SouthAsia’s Contemporary Art Fair in India since 2009.I like to believe my design cater to the contemporary, young and denying to grow old cosmos of women.
