One of the most fascinating and misunderstood Rolex references ever produced.🧲

The Milgauss Ref. 1019 was created for a very specific purpose: serving scientists, engineers and technicians working in environments exposed to strong magnetic fields.

Introduced in the 1960s and produced for nearly three decades, the 1019 featured a unique soft-iron shield surrounding the movement, protecting it from magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss: the very feature that gave the Milgauss its name.

Unlike its more flamboyant predecessor, the 1019 adopted a cleaner and more understated aesthetic. A smooth bezel, a perfectly balanced 38mm Oyster case and an exceptionally legible dial made it one of the purest tool watches ever produced by Rolex.

This particular example, accompanied by an expertise from , represents the earliest generation of the reference, featuring the desirable silver dial with red Milgauss signature, baton hands and applied rectangular indexes.

Powering the watch is the renowned Rolex calibre 1580, protected beneath the anti-magnetic inner case that made the Milgauss a true professional instrument.
