Importante pendola francese detta "à la Geometrie".
Cassa in bronzo dorato e brunito con base in marmo rosso Griotte. La donna regge una tavola sulla quale è riportato il disegno della “fusée a catena” e il calcolo matematico ottimizzato per il rapporto di forza tra fusée e spinta della molla del bariletto. Cassa di François Remond. Movimento attribuibile a Charles-Guillame Maniere.

Una pendola di questo modello fu acquistata da Giorgio, Principe di Galles (poi Re Giorgio IV) per la residenza di Carlton House. Nel 1828, la pendola venne trasferita nella White Room del Castello di Windsor (vedi disegno nel libro di H. Roberts, "For the King's Pleasure The Furnishing and Decoration of George IV's Apartments at Windsor Castle" (Londra 2001), fig. 160). Pendole dello stesso modello sono pubblicate nei libri "Old clocks and watches and their makers" di F.J. Britten, fig. 550. e "ROYAL CLOCKS" di Cedric Jagger a pag.206.
A French Louis XVI ormolu, patinated-bronze and rouge Griotte marble mantel clock called "à la Geometrie". The lady holds a slab, placed above the dial, on which there is a drawing of the "fusée" and the demostration of its action.

A clock of this model was acquired by George Prince of Wales, later King George IV for Carlton House. Subsequently moved to the White Room at Widsor Castle in 1828 (see the drawing illustrated in the book by H. Roberts., “For the King's Pleasure The Furnishing and Decoration of George IV's Apartments at Windsor Castle” (London 2001) figs. 160). An almost identical clock is publiched in the book “Old clocks and watches and their makers” by F.J. Britten figs. 550. A clock of the same model but with a white marble base is published in the book "ROYAL CLOCKS" by Cedric Jagger on page 206.
