Teresa Devart Jewels è arrivata da noi con un bracciale rigido già avviato, che però non la convinceva né nell'estetica né nella funzionalità. Partendo dalle sue reference, abbiamo sviluppato l'intera schiava, studiandone le proporzioni e il meccanismo di apertura e chiusura, e abbiamo selezionato ametiste più vicine alla tonalità che aveva in mente. Il risultato? Un gioiello pratico, sicuro e fedele alla sua idea. Da questa collaborazione sono già nati nuovi progetti, che speriamo di mostrarvi presto ✨

Teresa Devart Jewels came to us with a bangle she had already started working on, but she wasn't happy with it, either aesthetically or functionally. Starting from her references, we developed the entire bangle, refining its proportions and its opening and closing mechanism, and sourced amethysts closer to the shade she had in mind. The result? A practical, secure piece that stays true to her vision. This collaboration has already led to new projects, which we hope to share with you soon ✨

Un bel disegno non è necessariamente un progetto pronto per la produzione.
Prima di realizzare un gioiello, ci sono dettagli che sulla carta possono sembrare piccoli, ma che sul pezzo finito cambiano molto.
Dimensioni e sede della pietra, altezza delle griffe, spessori, misura dell'anello, spazi destinati allo smalto, proporzioni, finiture e fattibilità delle diverse lavorazioni: ogni elemento va verificato pensando già alle fasi successive.
Perché progettare un gioiello non vuol dire soltanto definirne l'estetica, ma chiedersi: può essere realizzato correttamente? È funzionale? È resistente? Le tecniche previste sono compatibili con il design?
È questo passaggio a trasformare un'idea in qualcosa di davvero producibile, evitando modifiche, problemi e costi imprevisti più avanti.

Before a piece of jewelry is made, there are details that may seem minor on paper but make a real difference to the finished piece.
Stone size and seat, prong height, thicknesses, ring size, enamel recesses, proportions, finishes and the feasibility of each technique: every element needs to be checked with the next stages already in mind.
Because designing jewelry isn't just about defining how it looks. It's about asking: can it be made properly? Is it functional? Is it durable? Are the planned techniques compatible with the design?
This is the step that turns an idea into something that can truly be produced, avoiding changes, issues and unexpected costs further down the line.

È ottobre. Troppo presto per parlare di Natale? Per un brand di gioielli, no 🎄
La collezione che a dicembre vediamo in vetrina o online ha iniziato il suo percorso molto tempo prima: una moodboard, qualche riferimento, poi le prove di forme e proporzioni, la scelta di materiali, pietre e finiture, i campioni e le ultime modifiche. Solo quando ogni aspetto è definito può partire la produzione.
Un processo che richiede tempo e che, a seconda della complessità e dei quantitativi, a ottobre è spesso già ben avviato.
Perché una collezione pensata con cura non nasce poche settimane prima delle feste. E dietro quel piccolo gioiello scelto come regalo ci sono mesi di lavoro, prove e attenzione.

Nella produzione orafa circolano alcune convinzioni che, a uno sguardo più attento, non reggono fino in fondo. Si pensa spesso che produrre più pezzi significhi automaticamente spendere meno, ma non è sempre così: dipendono da diversi fattori, sia progettuali che produttivi. Allo stesso modo, un disegno può sembrare già un progetto completo, quando in realtà è solo il punto di partenza: servono valutazioni tecniche e un vero lavoro di industrializzazione prima di arrivare alla produzione. C'è poi chi pensa che il CAD risolva ogni criticità in automatico. In realtà è uno strumento fondamentale, ma senza un progetto ben ragionato alle spalle non basta. E se un'idea si può disegnare, questo non significa che sia già producibile: la fattibilità dipende da molte variabili tecniche che emergono solo con l'esperienza. Conoscere questi aspetti fa la differenza tra un progetto solido e uno che nasconde criticità.

Perché alcuni gioielli si rompono, mentre altri durano una vita intera? La risposta non dipende mai da un solo fattore. Molto spesso la differenza si costruisce già durante la progettazione, ben prima che il gioiello prenda forma. Alcune geometrie, ad esempio, concentrano le sollecitazioni in punti precisi, aumentando il rischio di cedimento proprio lì dove il pezzo è più sollecitato. Le saldature contano quanto la forma: posizione, qualità di esecuzione e dimensionamento fanno la differenza tra un punto solido e uno fragile. Alleggerire un gioiello è spesso una scelta progettuale voluta, ma ridurre troppo gli spessori può comprometterne la tenuta nel tempo. Anche il materiale ha un peso specifico in questo equilibrio: ogni lega si comporta in modo diverso, e va scelta in base a come il gioiello verrà davvero indossato. Un anello che accompagna una mano ogni giorno, del resto, vive sollecitazioni ben diverse da quelle di un pendente. Ecco perché, quando sviluppiamo un nuovo progetto, non ci fermiamo all'estetica: valutiamo anche come quel gioiello si comporterà nel tempo.

Soldering is just as important as the shape itself: positioning, ex*****on quality, and sizing can make the difference between a solid point and a weak one. Lightening a piece of jewelry is often a deliberate design choice, but reducing thickness too much can compromise its durability over time. Materials also play a key role in this balance: each alloy behaves differently and must be selected based on how the jewelry will actually be worn. A ring worn every day on the hand, for example, experiences very different stresses compared to a pendant. This is why, when we develop a new project, we don’t focus only on aesthetics: we also evaluate how that piece of jewelry will perform over time.

Ogni gioiello ha una storia e questa volta racconta quella di Eleonora, che ci ha coinvolto nello sviluppo di un pendente ispirato al sole. Non ci siamo limitati a realizzare il gioiello: abbiamo costruito il progetto insieme a lei, passo dopo passo. Abbiamo cercato la texture giusta per restituire la luce del sole, trovato l'equilibrio tra leggerezza al tatto e presenza visiva, confrontato materiali e varianti fino a individuare la combinazione più coerente con l'idea di partenza. Ogni decisione è stata condivisa e verificata prima di diventare definitiva, perché è proprio in questa fase che si gioca il vero valore del lavoro: non complicare il percorso, ma eliminare le incertezze prima ancora di arrivare in produzione.

Every piece of jewelry has a story, and this time it tells Eleonora’s story, who involved us in the development of a pendant inspired by the sun. We didn’t simply create the piece of jewelry: we built the project together with her, step by step. We explored the right texture to capture the light of the sun, found the balance between a lightweight feel and visual presence, and compared materials and variations until we identified the combination most consistent with the original concept. Every decision was shared and reviewed before becoming final, because this is where the true value of the process lies: not in making the journey more complicated, but in eliminating uncertainties before reaching production.

Prima di arrivare al gioiello finito ci sono diverse fasi che contribuiscono alla qualità del risultato finale: dal brief iniziale alla progettazione CAD, dalla campionatura alle eventuali modifiche, fino alla preparazione degli stampi, alle finiture, ai controlli qualità e alla spedizione. Ognuna di queste fasi ha uno scopo preciso. Non servono ad "allungare i tempi", ma a verificare il progetto, prevenire criticità e costruire un prodotto che possa essere realizzato con continuità, mantenendo gli standard qualitativi richiesti. Per questo motivo, quando definiamo le tempistiche di un progetto, consideriamo l'intero processo di sviluppo e non soltanto il tempo necessario alla produzione. È proprio il lavoro svolto prima della produzione che permette di arrivare a un risultato affidabile.

Non basta il materiale. Non basta nemmeno il design. A fare la differenza sono spesso i dettagli che a prima vista non si notano. Superfici uniformi, senza porosità né imperfezioni. Incisioni nitide, pensate per restare leggibili e riconoscibili nel tempo. Svuotature studiate per alleggerire il pezzo senza intaccarne il comfort. Contrasti tra finiture, come lucido e satinato, che danno profondità a forme e volumi. Sono elementi che raramente si notano a colpo d'occhio, ma che il cliente finale percepisce comunque: è quella sensazione di "cura" che non sai spiegare a parole, ma che riconosci subito. La qualità, in fondo, non sta mai in un singolo dettaglio. È la somma di tante piccole scelte fatte bene.
