🌳 Eucalyptus is appreciated worldwide for its high mechanical strength, fast growth and wide availability from sustainably managed plantations. These qualities make it an increasingly important material for flooring, furniture, construction and packaging material.

However, these same characteristics also make drying particularly demanding.

High shrinkage, internal stresses, checking and collapse can occur if the drying process is not carefully controlled. Achieving consistent quality requires much more than simply removing moisture, it requires understanding how the wood reacts throughout every stage of the process.

A successful drying cycle is based on the right balance between:
• temperature
• relative humidity
• airflow
• conditioning phases

The objective is not only to reach the target moisture content, but to preserve the wood's dimensional stability, mechanical properties and final value.

Every eucalyptus species, board thickness and end application may require a different drying strategy. This is why customized drying schedules and precise process control play a key role in achieving reliable, repeatable results.
