今年も残すところ、あと2週間あまりとなりました。
振り返ると、今年は初めてのところでの展覧会や新しい挑戦をさせていただいた一年でした。
その中でも、私にとって特別で、心からありがたかったのがオブジェ制作のお仕事です。
新潟にある ANAクラウンプラザホテル新潟 のロビーに設置するオブジェを制作させていただきました。
全体で約65cmと、普段制作している作品よりも大きなスケールの作品となり、新潟の土地をイメージしながら形にしました。
日本海の海が岩に打ち寄せる水しぶきのオブジェ「海の水しぶき」。米どころ新潟を象徴する稲穂のオブジェ「風になびく稲穂」。2作品を
洋白や真鍮を用いて表現しました。
このような貴重な機会をくださった ANAクラウンプラザホテル新潟 の皆さま、そして私の作品を見つけ、ディレクションして下さいました、いごこちマネジメントの馬渡さん に心より感謝いたします。

It’s almost end of this year.
Looking back this year, I had exhibitions at new places and had a new challenge of creating my works.
Especially a project of making objects for a hotel lobby, ANA Crowne Plaza Niigata was meaningful and very challenging for me.
The objects are about 65 cm in height. These pieces are larger in scale than my usual works. The inspiration are from the land of Niigata itself—the waves of the Sea of Japan crashing against rocks, “Splashes on Rocks ”and golden rice ears symbolising Niigata as a renowned rice “Swaying Rice in the Breeze ”
These two sculptures are made of nickel silver and brass.
I really appreciate to everyone at ANA Crowne Plaza Niigata for this precious opportunity, and to Mr. Mawatari of Igocochi Management, who found my works and directed this project.
