TOTEMS OF THE PRESENT AND THE ABSENT

This marquise-shaped sculpture in corten steel is conceived as a beacon of hope and renewal. At its heart, a radiant sun is engraved and brought to life with layers of transparent enamel, allowing light to pass through and illuminate the piece from within. The dialogue between corten steel and enamel reflects strength and fragility, permanence and transformation. With its elongated form reaching upwards and its luminous center radiating warmth, the work celebrates a collective belief in a brighter future and honors Lebanon’s energy, creativity, and ability to keep moving toward new beginnings.
