With over twenty years experience in design and creation of exquisite fine jewellery, Crishanthus Angelo founded Chamathka Jewellers in October 2003. At the time when Chamathka opened its first branch in Battaramulla, there was no trend for Silver Jewellery. This was followed by the opening of its first flagship store at Crescat in 2006. Within thirteen years of steady growth, the company expanded
its network to 22 outlets islandwide , employing over sixty skilled craftsmen using traditional methods coupled with the very latest technology to deliver that exquisite piece of work at a very competitive price. Chamathka also exports high-end jewellery to Europe, the US, Japan and Hong Kong among other countries, to meet the demand for its upmarket designer jewellery. Chamathka's mission was to break barriers with a new-age fashion formula at a time when gold held sway as the favourite precious metal. In doing so, it sold an idea - a fashion statement that appealed to the customer. Our pieces not only reflect taste, it also reflects authenticity , creativity and a high degree of exclusivity.
