Forty years later, I transformed it into Passaġġ / Passage; a hand-embossed metal artwork that tells a story of craftsmanship, memory, and the knowledge passed from one generation to the next.

Passaġġ has been nominated for the Premju Ġieħ l-Artiġjanat Malti 2025 – People's Choice Award.

I am truly humbled and honoured to be participating alongside so many incredibly talented and seasoned craftsmen and artisans. Grateful for the opportunity to present 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠̇𝐠̇ / 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞, a work that is deeply close to my heart and reflects on how skills, memory, and craftsmanship transcend through time from one generation to another.

This piece is inspired by a real wooden door handcrafted by my father for my grandmother’s home in the 1980s, later reinterpreted through my own hands using hand-embossed metal foil.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my artistic journey and continues to believe in the value of handmade work and Maltese craftsmanship ❤️
