There is medicine hidden in what we almost discard.

These are papaya seeds — once suspended in sweetness, now dried, darkened, and transformed by my hands.

The most tedious part was removing the thin skin wrapped around each seed… one by one.
Seed by seed.

It required patience. Presence. A willingness to slow down.
And somehow that felt symbolic — peeling back layers, gently, without force.

I didn’t take pictures of the rinsing, the peeling, the drying. That part felt intimate. Quiet. Like tending to something ancient.

After drying them carefully, I ground them into a coarse, peppery powder. Bitter. Warming. Alive.

Papaya seeds are known to support liver function, cleanse the gut, reduce inflammation, and gently assist insulin sensitivity. Small, potent, and often overlooked.

I live with PCOS.

I’ve had seasons where my cycles disappeared.
Seasons where my body felt unfamiliar.
