Ya te he contado que está hecho con textiles tejidos en telar de pedal y teñidos naturalmente, lo que no te había contado era por qué este nombre.

Mamá Silvina fue una super guerra, inteligente y de armas tomar, que siempre buscó lo mejor para su familia. Imagínate organizar a un grupo de hombres de su pueblo en los años 60! Y luego tener que dejar tu hogar y llegar a una gran ciudad sin dinero y empezando de 0.

Ella me recuerda que en esta vida hay que arriesgar, siempre está en mi mente y en las piezas que hago.

I believe there are many ways to give life, and my favorite is through objects. The hands play, dance, and transform matter into something unique that carries a part of its creator.

Giving life is never easy; there are always doubts, fears, moments when you want to abandon the path — but that urge always begins with a need. In my case, the need to release, to empty my mind of noise, and other times to express the joy and colors that run through me.
And just as jewelry and hat‑making fill me up, sculpture is now beginning to make its way into my dreams.

Working with my hands is my favorite thing to do, almost a kind of gift. I always think that until the very last day of my life I want to keep creating, because the only thing humans regret on their deathbed is what they didn’t do.

This pillbox hat is made with corn husk, a material traditionally linked to nourishment and daily life. Removed from its usual context, the husk becomes adornment, transforming a humble agricultural residue into an object of contemplation.

In many Mesoamerican cultures, corn is more than a crop; it is a foundation myth, a symbol of life, community, and belonging. By placing it on the body, I am interested in how a domestic material can shift between utility and ritual, between what feeds us and what shapes who we are.
