We are delighted to announce that our beloved student, Sr. Yasmin Suffiyah Binti Muhammad Ilias from the Department of Biotechnology IIUM has won the prestigious Tokoh Bicara Siswa award at the Anugerah Tokoh Siswa Negara 2026.

Representing the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), she secured this major victory at the national level event organized by the Ministry of Higher Education (Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi).

Her remarkable milestones highlighted during the award ceremony include:

Receiving a prize of RM4,000.00 as the Tokoh Bicara Siswa winner. Successfully generating RM665,000 in sponsorships for the ex*****on of various student programs, conferences, forums, and empowerment initiatives. Demonstrating exceptional student leadership across various high-impact platforms.

The Department of Biotechnology, Kulliyyah of Science, IIUM is delighted to announce that our students have been awarded a Gold Medal at i-Biohackathon 2026, organised by the Institute of Systems Biology (INBIOSIS), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)! 🌴🧬

Competing in the Bio-Analyst: Undergraduate (Precision Agriculture) category, the team used AI and bioinformatics to analyse bagworm (Metisa plana) data, supporting efforts to protect Malaysian oil palm from pests.
