Did you know some watches can recognise a leap year?
Most watches with a date display can't tell whether a month has 30 or 31 days. That's why the date sometimes needs adjusting.
But a perpetual calendar knows the difference, even when February has 29 days.
The new Citizen BY1033-01H goes a little further, with a Moon Phase display showing the changing phases of the moon. 🌙
One keeps track of the dates. The other follows the moon.
Pretty interesting, isn't it?

This is an ＃AviationSlideRule, originally designed for flight calculations such as speed, distance and fuel.
Do we really need to calculate all that on our wrist today?
Probably not. 😄
