Your wardrobe holds more than just clothes. It holds memories, moods, and little pieces of who you were on different days.
Take these Ankara trousers, for instance.
On one Sunday, I honestly wasn't in the mood to do too much. I picked up a black sleeveless peplum top, paired it with the trousers, slipped into my flats, grabbed a simple bag, and headed to church. Easy, comfortable, and still put together. Because black will always come through.
Another Sunday, I could hardly wait to wear this outfit. I'd imagined it, planned it from head to toe, and intentionally made these trousers to go with the white shirt. The heels and the bag brought everything together exactly how I'd pictured it.
Same trousers. Two different Sundays. Two different moods. Still me.
And that's one of the things I love about having a wardrobe that works for you. It's not about having endless clothes or dressing up every single day. It's about having pieces you can make your own, style differently, and return to in different seasons of your life.
This is part of the thinking behind the Wardrobe Plan by Neşe By Joy: creating the pieces you want and building your wardrobe gradually, one piece at a time, at a pace that works for you.
Now, tell me: are you Team Black 🖤 (relaxed) or Team White 🤍 (dressy)?
I'm curious to know which version you'd reach for!
