In April 1962, engineer Jean-René Parmentier filed a patent for a crown system called Capuchon & Joint sur Remontoir.
Combining a protective cap with an integrated seal, the design addressed one of the most critical points in any dive watch: the crown.
More than sixty years later, the Sous-Marine Re-Edition carries a modern interpretation of the same idea.
The original technical drawing still exists.
And the underlying principle remains as relevant today as it was in 1962. 🌊
