Annealing and quenching: two of the most fundamental processes at the bench, and honestly some of my favourite sounds 🎶

Monday Edits on a Wednesday probably tells you everything about how my week is going so far 😂.

1. Jewellery 💍: New pearl and gold filled designs are now live at .ceramics! 🎉 Definitely drop by if you’re in Haarlem.

2. Studio 👩🏻‍🏭: Summer has arrived and my studio is absolutely sunlit and gorgeous right now. This time of the year is lush, though admittedly not the best time to be working with a torch 😅. So I’m picking back up on the website before my commission period gets busy. Watch this space 🌿

3. Finds 📍: Gave Instants a go this weekend and I feel like we’re back to old school Instagram. Are you on it? How are you finding it?

4. Haarlem 🌷: This weekend (30-31 May) is , when artists in the Vijfhoek area of Haarlem open their studio doors to visitors. With the lovely weather on schedule, I’ll be wandering around with a delicious matcha in hand :) Come say hi if you spot me! 🍵

Today’s Monday Edit sums up the past busy weeks filled with coffee and cake ✨

1. Jewellery 💍: More demi fine pieces I’m slowly working through to drop off at .ceramics, stone setting practice and juggling some commissions I can’t reveal just yet 👀. Also came home from London with a gemstone haul because self-control is not my strong suit 💎😅

2. Studio 👩🏻‍🏭: After a few weeks of being out of action, I finally set up my mini home studio properly and celebrated with coffee and cake at ☕🍰. Still lots to go but at least I can start working there.

3. Finds 📍: London delivered, as usual. Tucked into some delicious pastries at while meeting some old friends. The Barn is a cozy cafe at the lovely - well worth a visit especially with a little one!

4. Haarlem 🌷: Mother’s Day was a slow wander through the city with nowhere to be. Coffee at , gorgeous weather, and my favourite company. The reset I didn’t know I needed. 🌿

Last week’s highlights were all about chill vibes and treasured finds ✨

1) Jewellery 💍: I’m well overdue a visit and restock at .ceramics, so I’ve been making new designs whenever I can. That often means working from my dining room table while also lugging my tools around. I’ve also rediscovered a sea glass ring I had on my website and cheekily decided to keep 😅.

2) Studio 👩🏻‍🏭: My trips to the studio has been focused on creating new designs while also making my plan for the next couple months. The mom juggle is very real 😬

3) Finds 📍: On Saturday we went to Antiekmarkt op de Dreef - there were so many amazing treasures, it was hard to leave! One of the pieces I fell in love with is this gorgeous gold-toned pill box by .

4) Haarlem 🌷: Coffees are sacred in this house and my go-to place in the city is . Fantastic vibe, and even better cappuccinos 👌🏼

Trading my desk in a corporate job for a jeweller’s bench was the best decision I ever made… even on the days I spend more time on spreadsheets (ok admittedly, it’s a guilty pleasure) than on actual jewellery making.

It’s Day 1 back in my studio and I’m feeling so refreshed. I finally finished restocking everything for my upcoming collection. It took longer than planned (I get a little too distracted by all the shiny things), but I’m finally ready to organize and start making.

Really looking forward to a day of lo-fi and bench time. ✨

A quick peek into what’s been happening at Abloro Jewellery 💫

It’s been aaages since my last update, just soaking in this exciting yet busy season of life. ☺️

One of my clients said I should start sharing a bit more on Instagram again or people might think I’ve closed shop and he’s absolutely right! 🙈

Here’s a quick rundown of what I’ve been up to:

1) Jewellery 💍: A few gorgeous pieces have passed through my bench since my last update, notably a sweet solitaire engagement ring with a stunning blue stone.

2) Studio 👩🏻‍🏭: My studio was in a proper state after what felt like a whirlwind season. But now I’m back to creating at my bench (and my overflow table 😅), with renewed spark and a new box full of goodies from ! (Studio reel dropping this Wednesday- check it out! 😁)

3) Finds 📍: We recently visited Gran Canaria and the one thing I’d go back for is another meal at .casaromantica . We went for their Alonso Quesada tasting menu, and it was definitely a highlight of our trip. 10/10!

4) Haarlem 🌷: Spring has finally arrived in our city and it is beautiful 😍. It’s been super nice walking around and taking photos of blooms.

It was a joy to make this gorgeous solitaire. As it’s such a simple ring, it’s even more important to get the symmetry and all the details right. Small misalignments are really easy to see otherwise. ✨
