17th of May is Norway’s National Day, and it belongs entirely to the children. No military parades here, just kids dressed in their finest — many in the bunad, our traditional national costume — the whole city out in the sunshine, and ice cream with absolutely no rules. There’s something incredibly special about working with sapphires.

No two are ever truly alike. The color, the depth, the tiny natural variations, the way they react to light — every single gemstone has its own personality. That means every one of our one of a kind sapphire rings becomes deeply personal from the very beginning.

Some sapphires feel soft and quiet. Others are bold, moody or electric. And when we find a gemstone that makes us stop for a second and just stare… we know it deserves a design built entirely around it.

That’s also why these rings can never really be replicated. Once a sapphire is gone, it’s gone.

I think that’s what makes them feel so emotional to create. They’re not just “another ring” — they become little future heirlooms tied to one exact moment, one exact person and one exact gemstone.

And I still get emotional seeing our clients choose the sapphire that instantly feels like theirs.
