Blue Pearl Gallery Handmade Blue Pearl jewellery on Akaroa Wharf. www.nzbluepearls.co.nz My name is Jack Pawlowski. I am a European-trained Master Jeweller with 43 years experience.

I am the founder of The Blue Pearl Gallery in Akaroa. During my varied career, I have worked as a teacher at a jewellery high school in Poland and as a designer for the largest jewellery company in Europe—Pierre Lang—in Vienna, Austria. I have lived in New Zealand since 1986 and pursued my jewellery passion by opening my first boutique store and workshop not long after arriving in this beautiful c

ountry with my wife and two daughters. In 2000, I met Roger Beattie, the force behind Eyris® Blue Pearls. We work closely with the team at Eyris who source and provide us with some of the world’s best Blue Pearls. We set these in our own custom-designed pieces and our extensive range is exhibited in our Blue Pearl Gallery on the Main Wharf in Akaroa. Some of the highlights of my career include:

*Our team was called upon to create a unique Eyris® Blue Pearl brooch for Queen Elizabeth. The New Zealand Prime Minister, John Key, presented it to her in September, 2013. To our honour, the Queen has since worn it.

*The creation of Kiwi songstress Hayley Westenra’s dazzling one-carat white and argyle diamond platinum engagement ring in 2012.

*A commission for a small amber-and-white gold ice pick gifted to Sir Edmund Hillary in 2004 on his trip to Europe.

*The creation of an Eyris® Blue Pearl earring and pendant set for Miss World 2003 who modelled it for “Variety—The Children’s Charity” auction.

We want to thank you ALL for yet another truly wonderful, busy season! 🙏

For the last six months, we have raised our flags and flung our doors open, 7-days-a-week.

It's been both a joy and a pleasure to welcome all of you, share stories from around the world... and of course, our love of Blue Pearls!

Now, with Akaroa township quietening down, we will be open 5 days a week starting from May.

We will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Open from 12pm to 5pm as per usual...as we are still not 'morning people' 😉🙈
