Would say itโ€™s approx 10-13 years old or so at a guess :)

Congrats to Matt Bentley on taking 2nd place in the Snowy Mountains 1000 5E Class and 17th Outright fastest!
0-1000m spring in 20.68 Seconds and trap speed of a crazy 274KPH!
Great result considering this was the one and only full pass run Matt and the IS managed due to a few mechanical niggles.
Looking forward to more videos of future events!

Long time member Matt aka yojimbo on our forums is taking on the formidable Snowy Mountains 1000, 1000m drag race.

Cars from all around Australia come to the Snowy Mountains 1000 to prove one thing - who is the quickest over 1000 metres.

We wish Matt and the 2JZGTE monster all the best of luck!

Looking forward to the SM1000 again for 2016. This time Ive swapped the lens for a seat. I'll be bringing my long term project out to play. Come say G'day in the pits if you see us there!

We're back with another Featured Friday and with the annual Mega Meet fast approaching we're going to highlight a few of the entrants.

This week we have Don's RS200 known as 2ToneTezza. Picking it up back in 2009 it had a ricer's dream mod list; cut springs, holey fart cannon, mismatched mags, smashed up kit, 2tone paint and broken wheelstuds to name a few "features".

Luckily Don got stuck into it quickly and along with fixing the kit and paint it received some TEINs and a proper HKS exhaust and the usual struts/sways and brake upgrades.

This car is now a tidy beast around the track and has seen action at a few of the Mega Meet trackdays and we can't wait to see it in action again this year.

Check out the ugly duck transformation in this short but worthwhile build thread: http://z4.invisionfree.com/lexusaltezzaclub/index.php?showtopic=13029

Back when I attended my first Mega Meet in 2010 my eye got caught by one car. It was KMG's awesome 1C0 AS200. Sadly Keegan doesn't share the love of the mighty 1G that I do and decided to rip it out and put in a mental VVTi 2JZ-GTE.

I was honestly scared to feature this car as the build thread was over 35 pages long. Well luckily Keegan just recently went through and pruned his thread down so it's now just filled with solid information and pictures of the journey this car has taken.

With well over 380rwhp and a wing as big as a jumbo this is one altezza you don't want to mess about with. Go along for the ride in the build thread here: http://z4.invisionfree.com/lexusaltezzaclub/index.php?showtopic=12616

Mlcoolj started life with his Altezza by doing an epic road trip from Ireland back home to Holland. It was in a shabby condition so his thread is a great example of tidying up a car.

The car is extremely rare in Holland so it must be a rare treat to see it at the track doing grip and drift. Overall it's fairly stock but still a greatly presented car.

Give the thread a read it's short but actioned pack

Sorry we missed our usual Featured Friday, to make up for it let's just pretend it's a Slammed Saturday and what better car to highlight this is Remo's turbo'ed Altezza.

While it's not dragging its guts on the ground it has had its factory guards modified to get such an aggressive fitment. This allows it to be show stoppingly low to the ground but still actually be used in the hills without scraping on every leaf, which is handy when it's pushing out over 200rwkw!

Appearing in NZ Performance Car #231 earlier this year you know it's a special build. Here's an online copy of that article for you to salivate over. http://www.themotorhood.com/themotorhood/2016/4/11/white-noise-remo-grands-turbocharged-altezza

A late featured Friday tonight as it took such a long time to go through and appreciate the build that is the one and only XNICKX. Purchased in 2005 as a stock blue 1998 RS200Z 6MT it has become one of the iconic Altezzas of NZ.

It started with the usual cosmetic things, painted brakes, indicators, eyelids, some TRD bling and of course everyone's favourite material carbon fibre started appearing in new and exciting places.

Then the exciting things started happening, upgraded brakes, some proper wheels and of course a Greddy TD04H turbo kit! Despite constant threats to sell the car the mods kept coming with more and more engine mods.
On the most recent dyno run it hit 305rwkw on the run-in tune at just 14psi!

Nick keeps his thread pruned nicely so it is pure altezza goodness in every post so while it is "only" 8 pages long each page is chock full of interesting updates and pictures.

While it's safe to say the car has had a run of bad luck over the years with engine builds and smashed diffs it's a work of art that is constantly evolving, check it out here: http://z4.invisionfree.com/lexusaltezzaclub/index.php?showtopic=4247
