This delightful wee Kotare (juvenile?) came to visit us today. I watched him her for a while thinking they would fly away by the time I retrieved my camera from the cupboard but it stayed there for some time even closing its eyes as if having a little snooze. ✨Jewellery making workshop-
Expressions of interest✨

I am planning to run some jewellery making workshops over the winter months and am just putting it out there to see if there is enough interest in the local
Community to make it happen.
The first one will be held on June 3rd from 9-12am in Beachlands. Venue tbc.

You will be making a pair of earrings similar to the ones in the photo using silver wire and copper plate. You will be learning how form and shape metal, create texture and make produce your very own pair of earrings.

Price: $95pp (includes all materials and a scone from Sconelicious Scones for morning tea)

Almost a year ago I collaborated with to design a necklace which would help to raise both awareness and precious funds to help support these special sea birds. 🐦 T**i or Cooks Petrel are an adorable wee sea bird. They need help every year during breeding season when they fly over Auckland on their way to Little Barrier island where they nest and breed and often become confused by city lights causing them to crash land on the ground. Once grounded they cannot take flight again and are left vulnerable to predators and starvation if they are not found and given help.
