1.2mm is the thickness of the New Zealand hardwood ring sitting inside this Rubicon case.
Wood grain is not only aesthetic, but more critically structural.
The open circle at the centre leaves the remaining ring entirely dependent on the direction & integrity of the grain to survive the process. Most hardwoods do not.
Only one locally sourced New Zealand hardwood proved capable.
Every ring that makes it through is completely its own.
Fitted individually inside each watch for each client.
