📍 Project Spotlight | Akaroa

Completed in 2025, this Akaroa project showcases how integrating louvres into the build process creates a more cohesive, functional outdoor space from day one.

The home features two Silencio SkyLouvres and a Vertical screen system, finished in Duratec Matt Flaxpod to complement the architecture and coastal setting.

Project specifications:
• Silencio SkyLouvre: 4.9m × 3.6m
• Silencio SkyLouvre: 3.1m × 2.3m
• Vertical system: 4.6m × 2.5m

By planning louvres as part of the build, the outdoor area becomes an extension of the home — delivering year-round control over sun, rain, airflow, and privacy, without the need for future retrofits or compromises.

A great example of how early design decisions can elevate both usability and long-term value!
