The story behind a la Mic ...

I love
creating jewellery where every single piece is unique unlike fast fashion and copies,
we see today. My pieces may be similar, but they are not the same nor are they
perfectly matched. Just as we are unique and not perfect, I choose to find the
beauty in the uniqueness of each piece I make. Back when I
was a dessert chef, I would often make new recipes by picki

ng my favourite bits
from different recipes and combining them to make something new. When asked what the dish was, I would say
‘it’s an a la Mic meaning made in my style. I often combine my favourite colours of the moment
and different techniques to explore and create new pieces, hence the name a la Mic was chosen. I enjoy
creating bespoke pieces to match outfits, existing pieces of jewellery or
custom pieces to celebrate a special milestone. This saves you the hunt for the
perfect piece. I want my
pieces to help you feel special, not a copy of someone else. Be proud to be
unique and celebrate your beauty, imperfections and all.

WISHING YOU ALL A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

These earrings are my absolute favourite and I have to say, hard to sell. They are called 'Christmas Memories' and I saved these for today.

It is my wish for you all, that this Christmas you make some special memories. Whatever you choose to do, whoever you choose to spend the day with, CHOOSE to make time to create those special memories this year.
Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to find/make the perfect Christmas, we exhaust ourselves before the day even arrives. We often forget that it is choosing to bring joy to someone, even a stranger can often make our day all the brighter.

My challenge to you today, is to make time to bring someone joy.
