I must not let people see me using a saya file ;-)
Needs must.
There was a small knot in this timber. It was on the shinogi-ji so I gave it a careful scraping until the blade ran smooth as silk.
But here in the Cheese Mines with humidity bouncing into the 90% regularly, the little knot has raised it's ugly head.
If this was a high value item it would be straight in the bin, but a practice sword gets what it gets.
