Are you ready to be shocked? I wasn’t prepared to witness this vicious attack just outside my shop. This isn’t the first time that my window was smashed. Am I getting used to it? Getting used to the fact that nothing much is being done to prevent this from happening again…and again. A lady who works at Broadway Express was quick to ring the police. They showed up and I was told that the culprit/woman was arrested. That was Saturday and i haven’t heard from them again. I have to thank as well a man pushing a pram who was very kind to stop and asked me if I was alright. It’s difficult to be in retail but I can cope with that. However, it’s an altogether different story when incidents like this is added on my plate. I thank God that I was kept safe during my ordeal.

Captured by my CCTV was a footage of this two legged monster preying on my shop last night. Please watch the footage and pay close attention to his two older accomplices waiting by the sculpture in front of The Regent Theatre. Many times he attempted to pull out my CCTV located so high that he was relentlessly trying to reach to no avail. All they wanted was to storm inside my shop and steal whatever their dirty hands could grab. It’s a small struggling business. How heartless are these creatures of darkness. I continue to pray that I will be spared from harm and pain from this lawless monsters.

My heart is broken…and so is the window in my little shop. From out of the blue this man just punched the glass with his bare fist. Nothing was taken. He walked away as if nothing happened at all. Coming to the shop every morning is like facing the unknown. I shut the door during trading hours. I get up and open the door if somebody wants to come in and lock it again afterwards. I have a choice if my heart tells me not to open. I get away from my table to avoid contact with those unwanted characters loitering outside. This is how I deal with them everyday. This one is different though. I pray that I be kept safe and unharmed and indeed I was safe at home when this occurred at 2:35 am at 04/06/23. I feel so vulnerable…but this is how I want to make a living. This is my passion. This is my art. This is my space. I pray that nothing worse will come upon me. In the meantime…my heart is broken💔💔💔
