A beautiful commission for a graduation gift ❤️

This bangle is to celebrate Lord W's wife work obtaining her masters degree. The brief was simple, something to remind her of her achievement. She loves butterflies. Wears a lot of black, diamonds and mixes gold and silver. Sometimes wears red or pink lipstick. Classic style, clean lines. A thief shot of her jewellery was sent to me. Amongest the diamonds a beautiful citrine ring... and we made a plan.

So, 24ct gold butterflies, a beautiful matching pair of pear diamonds to form wings for another accompanied with yellow sapphire. Natural yellow diamonds forming their heads and dotted in-between as little flowers... and she loves it!

When you know you are no princess, but you try a ring on simply because it is there. And the transformation makes you know you are truely a Queen!!

And suddenly that super hard year that you had starts to fade a little, and it's becoming your birthday week so you let that light in and glow. And you get back to doing what you naturally do best, shining, and bringing the joy!

I'm taking about you gorgeous Lady F!
Whooo! I am over a month late, but I am cheering for you my Queen!!

A new queen for M'Ladies diamonds ❤️

It starts in Ireland. A young man is courting, and his sweetheart accepts his proposal. Within the year, she passes away. Over burdened with grief, the young man seeks advise on which country is the furthest from his own, and travels to the other side of the world- New Zealand.

He is walking Queen Street, and imagine his surprise and delight when he bumps into vibrant, beautiful Maggie, known to him and from hjs own village.

A new whistle on his lips, a song in his heart, a new dream ahead, and these diamonds seen above are soon worn on her hand.

After decades, it becomes time for the ring to be passed on. To her granddaughter. It is remodeled in 18ct gold. And with time, again it starts to become frail around the mounts.

So we build it up, and make it strong. Secure. And those precious sparkling diamonds keep winking and dancing, rich in love and history.

A new wedding set for Lady J ❤️
With her busy healing and gardening hands and love for organic forms, she was drawn to my Down the Garden Path design.

Even though she loves, and can wear a big ring, her original ring was too brutalist and uniform for her little hand. After cutting out the diamonds and emerald,, I sawed the ring in half and decided to work melting and fusing the silver, then forging it. Happily, it was remarkably pliable and willing!

And don't they look right at home on her hand?!

Sinomi and Jayden ❤️

A beautiful commission completed in July, a Chloris ring with a custom cut Imperial topaz and a Dawn Chorus ring. Tenderly packaged, couriered overseas, and a major disappointment for all of us finding out Sinomi and Jayden had been sized incorrectly!

Happily, with their return visit to the long white cloud, and a repatuation of said rings to moi, they now fit!!

Much love to you both, and thank you for your tender and loving photo xx

Burmese ruby in 24ct gold ❤️

M'Lady had been searching for a ruby ring for some time. She spied and purchased my ruby pear in 24ct gold and platinum and purchased it unseen. She was so excited! She told her astrologer, who agreed platinum being a pure metal was powerful, but for her, she needed the full roar of the sun, and 24ct gold.

So. A pair of earrings were sent to me, 24ct gold. I have always been so curious about earrings like these, how they are made, and how they melt. They melt beautifully. But the melted gold was pink. Liquid solder Basically they are stamped out of gold, liquid solder is poured over, and they are baked in kiln. The gold was like scoria. Brittle. Full of cracks and impurities. It took nearly 4 hours just to make the setting for the ruby. Pure gold is like working with butter, so I used it for the band. And yes... naturally there is a hidden twist under the setting!

You might see the single stud earring in the second image and think Oh what a pretty color, and a pity to only hold one. But the story is far deeper.
They were an old gift to Jane from her treasured friend Robin who she has known for decades, and knick-named LFR. She likely chose them for Jane because they match her blue eyes and also the sparkle in them.
Now Robin is unwell. And Jane had a beautiful idea. We turned her earring into a pendant, added a little pure gold because that is what love and pure friendship is righ? And carved out a tiny bit on the bangle then flatten it. So even if if your eyes can't see it, they can feel the indentation and know it is stamped LFR.
And LFR is for Little Friend Robin, who is 6 foot tall, and very, very loved ❤️

For Lady L, a Down the Garden Path ring in rose gold with yellow gold highlights 💛

Finally, the blue sapphires from her mother's engagement ring are dancing in the light again!

We looked at a rainbow of gems to pick the right ones, and these bright parti sapphires really dance flashing yellow and lime.

And onwards... back to the elfshop I go! I have some very beautiful, and pathologically patient customers!!

With the end of cherry season, Ruby Rose peacefully slipped away on February 26th.

She went down fast, but we had time to stroke her face, hug her and tell her how much we loved her.

She bought so much joy, sass, attitude and love into our life, we are so much richer for all she shared. She had a long, happy life. She took delight in making strangers friends, terrifying couriers, and alarming many around my table when her tiny tongue discovering a new leg to lick.

I loved watching her turn frowning faces into smiles, and for how rich she made us feel. She will always be in my heart, and remembered with absolutely pure love.

I know many will miss visiting her ❤️ xx
