'The Stuff We’re Made Of'
The biggest of the lot, and enough going on here for two brooches. I am slowly working on making friends with the local stone - after living here in the schisty, quartzy, Whakatipu for 13 years. This slab of quartz, with it’s bright iron oxide specks, was oddly irresistible. I’ve ground off about half it’s thickness to make it a nice brooch-weight.
