Sometimes my friends challenge me with, “Do you think you could make this?” Or “Could you fix this?”.

And of course, I always have to try.

This coaster is the biggest thing I’ve made with needle felting so far, and it took forever 😅

It’s actually my second attempt. The first one ended up too small and a bit too untidy, so I tried again.

Still learning. Still experimenting. Still stubborn enough to keep trying 😂

I made these little hearts and wasn’t really sure what to do with them.

Then I remembered I know someone who loves fun handmade earrings, so I turned them into a pair for her ❤️

She put them on straight away. That made me ridiculously happy.

I think I’m always drawn to hobbies that can eventually become something practical.

Back in 2019, after travelling and buying lots of local handmade jewellery, I decided I wanted to learn how to make earrings. That’s how my little fabrika.at.home brand started. I had so much fun making things and doing markets back then.

But after the Covid lockdowns, I realised something quite simple: I personally can happily wear the same minimalistic hoop earrings every single day. Making more and more jewellery started to feel a bit wasteful to me. Beautiful, yes. Fun to make, yes. But not very practical for my own life.

So I started looking for hobbies that felt more useful, and that’s how I found pottery. I still love it deeply. There is something very satisfying about making an object that I can actually use every day.

And now with needle felting, I’m doing the same thing again: trying to figure out what practical things I can make with it.

For now…

Christmas decorations, anyone? 🎄😂
