All of our pieces have been designed to hold a Loved One's Ashes, handwriting, hair, earth or keepsake. LOVE IN A JEWEL® is a Christchurch-based jewellery house, specialising in creating fine jewellery handcrafted to the highest standard. Our signature collection is the LOVE IN A JEWEL® Keepsake Collection. Truly unique, this collection is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside, as each piece has been designed with a special compartment which can hold a handpenned note or precious momento within. So love is captured inside forever! Your LOVE IN A JEWEL® can contain a handpenned note, sand or soil from a special place, a lock of your baby’s hair, Ashes of a Loved One or loved pet or other tiny keepsake. This will be carefully placed inside your pendant/charm/cufflinks/earrings/ring, a photograph will be taken and then your jewellery is sealed forever so the love, memory or message can remain safely tucked away inside, to be treasured for a lifetime and beyond. Pendant designs are beautiful and timeless so they can be worn every day...
and only you need know of the precious contents held within. Our acclaimed Master Jeweller, Joachim van Oostrum works with pride on each LOVE IN A JEWEL®, selecting only the finest diamonds, gold, silver and gems from reputable New Zealand suppliers and carefully placing your note or keepsake safely inside and then professionally sealing the lid closed forever. Traditional jewellery techniques are upheld and everything from gem-setting to placing your momento inside your necklace, to polishing and handcrafting your pendant is done in our workshop. As a gift, a LOVE IN A JEWEL® Keepsake piece will be cherished by your Loved One as it has real meaning, thought, time and love behind it and will arrive to you beautifully packaged and ready to give.
