I have been having fun getting back into poi making just in time for Christmas and have been trying different wool blends. I am in love with the Kringle sparkle 8 ply acrylic wool blends and here is an updated version of my paua poi using the sparkle 8ply wool blend in midnight blue with turquoise/blue/green iridescent polyester. I think the sparkly blends accentuate the colours of the paua fabric perfectly✨🥰👌🏼

Arohamai it’s been a while and this year has been extremely full on with whanau, work, and the challenges regarding Covid. I have been getting a lot of queries regarding pre-Xmas poi orders especially for the children’s light up poi.
At this stage I will be just taking a limited amount of pre-orders before Christmas and as costs for shipping and bulk material orders have increased I have no choice but to increase my pricing for poi. Please see details below and let me know if you are interested in placing a pre- order for a unique gift option this Christmas.

Poi pepe (baby poi, mini) - $12 pp
Poi iti (children’s poi, short small) - $15 pp
Poi matua (adults poi, short large) - $20 pp
Poi roa (long poi, large) - $25 pp

We really enjoyed having our first stall at the local Sunday market today. The weather was beautiful😍- not too hot and no rain😅.Thank you to everyone who called in to say hi and check out our handmade creations and/or bought from our stall today. We sold out all the poi iti earrings so we will definitely be making more for next weekend and we will be restocking on the light poi as well as we had lots of requests for our handmade light poi. If you live local I definitely recommend you check out the amazing stalls at the Whakatane Sunday Market. The food is amazing, the crafts and variety of stalls are so cool and the people are awesome🙂

Rule #1 Never pick up a poi when you have dropped it🤦🏻‍♀️
..unless you are in take 100 like I was lol😂🤣😅🤷🏻‍♀️ In that case practice is essential because the struggle is real! 😂🤣😅

With that being said why not try our 5 step Piwari poi challenge😊
