We've got good news, and some bad news...

Today marks the end of May, which means 2026 is now 41% complete.

If that number has you shocked, or thinking to yourself 'Where has the year gone?!', then here's the good news...

You can still make the most of what's left! Spend next Sunday riding in the beautiful Matahina Forest with friends, family, (or some new mates you meet on the day), making memories that will last a lifetime

We've got track suitable for the whole family:
• 25km+ of Bulldozed Main Track
• 11km+ Novice Loop
• 250m+ Peewee Loop

Fantastic Hot and Cold food + drinks will be available from our friends at Plan B Eatery Edgecumbe. We've got on-site medics, both Cash & Eftpos payment will be available, along with fire extinguishers for hire if you forget to bring your own.

We're located:
• 1hr 15min from Tauranga
• 54min from Rotorua
• 30min from Whakatāne
• 20min from Kawerau

Free camping will also be available the night before the ride. Flick us a message if you'd like to utilise this.

On 7th July 2007, 360 riders lined up for one of the biggest Tarawera 100s in history. Among them was Honda's Cody Cooper, making his second appearance at the event, and ultimately taking an impressive spot on the Podium...

This is just a small part of the vast history behind this wonderful event, which ran annually for 40 years straight. To celebrate some of that legacy, we’re rereleasing a four-part documentary series on YouTube, filmed back in the good ol’ days.

Episode 2 of this series takes us back to the 2007 Tarawera 100.

‘Tarawera 100’ is an event name you will have almost certainly heard before.

Each year, hundreds of riders from all over the country lined up at the starting line of this nationally coveted race, preparing for 100 unforgettable (and sometimes unforgiving) miles. Whether there to challenge themselves, or compete for podium positions, winning it made legends.

A lot has changed since the very first race, all the way back in 1977. And to celebrate some of that legacy, we’re rereleasing a four-part documentary series on YouTube, filmed back in the good ol’ days.

We are at Tarawera Trail Bike Riders Club 1st trail ride of the season today with our demo Surron light bee and Beta RX300 being put through their paces on the main track.

These events are on every 1st Sunday of the month until September.. an awesome family friendly event to be part of.
