Some Seikos are easy to find. Some you have to hunt for.

Just recently acquired this Seiko Prospex Alpinist SBDC087 “Shark Tooth” — a discontinued JDM model that has become a favorite among collectors for its distinctive black dial, sharp “Shark Tooth” indices, and classic Alpinist character.

And honestly… photos don't do this one justice. The dial, applied markers, cathedral-style hands, cyclops date, and internal compass bezel give it a personality that you just don't get from your usual Seiko.

A little watch battle between two Japanese favorites.

A few weeks ago, I noticed Doc Eddie wearing a beautiful 42mm Orient Bambino Sun & Moon. Naturally, I had to compliment it—and that opened up a conversation about watches.

I mentioned that I also sell authentic Japanese watches and offered to show him some of my collection.

After going through several pieces, Doc Eddie found himself torn between the Seiko Chronograph SBTR017 “Money Green” and the Citizen Tsuyosa Shore Limited Edition.

After some serious wrist-time decision making… the Tsuyosa Shore "Time Slip" limited edition emerged victorious!

A deal was made, and another Japanese beauty found a new home.
