Check my profile We have Natural Gemstone and semi precious
A lab-created gemstone or semi precious is a genuine stone that has been grown in a laboratory, possessing the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as its natural counterpart but without the long formation time or earth-based inclusions. These stones are created using processes like High Pressure-High Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical V***r Deposition (CVD) to mimic natural geological conditions. They are a more affordable and often more flawless alternative to mined gems and are available for a variety of popular stones, including diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds.
What they are
Identical composition: Lab-created gemstones are chemically, physically, and optically identical to their natural counterparts. A lab-created ruby is a real ruby, and a lab-created diamond is a real diamond.
Mimics nature: They are made by recreating the natural processes that form gems under the Earth's surface, but in a controlled laboratory setting.
Synthetic gems: Lab-created gemstones are also referred to as synthetic or lab-grown stones.
Difference from imitations: A simulant or imitation is a different material with a similar appearance and does not have the same chemical composition as the natural gem it copies, unlike a lab-created gemstone.
How they are made
High Pressure-High Temperature (HPHT): A tiny gemstone seed is placed in carbon and subjected to extreme pressure and heat to mimic conditions deep within the Earth. This causes carbon to melt and crystallize into a gemstone.
Chemical V***r Deposition (CVD): A gemstone seed is placed in a vacuum chamber and heated to high temperatures. Gases like methane are introduced, and the carbon from the gases deposits in thin layers onto the seed, causing it to "grow" into a full stone.
Key advantages
Affordability: They are significantly less expensive than their naturally mined counterparts because they can be produced in a fraction of the time it takes for nature to form gems.
Fewer inclusions: Because they are made in a sterile lab environment, they lack the natural inclusions and color inconsistencies found in earth-mined stones, resulting in higher clarity and a more flawless appearance.
Ethical and sustainable: They are often seen as a more ethical and environmentally friendly alternative to mining, which can have a significant environmental impact.
