🌿 Psalm 7:1–17 — “God Is My Refuge and My Righteous Judge”
📖 Meaning
Psalm 7 is David’s prayer when he was being attacked and falsely accused. Instead of taking revenge, David brought everything to God. He trusted that God knew his heart and would judge fairly.
David reminds us that when people misunderstand us, hurt us, or treat us unfairly, we don’t have to fight every battle ourselves. We can run to God, who sees the truth.
💡 Lessons
1. Run to God when you are afraid.
God is our refuge when life becomes difficult. We don’t have to carry everything alone.
2. Let God defend you.
When you are falsely accused or misunderstood, surrender it to God. He knows the truth better than anyone.
3. Examine your own heart.
David asked God to search his heart. We should also be willing to ask, “Lord, is there anything in me that needs to change?”
4. God is a righteous Judge.
People may judge us based on what they see, but God knows our motives and our hearts. His judgment is always just.
5. End with praise.
Even in the middle of trouble, David chose to praise God because of His righteousness. Our circumstances may change, but God remains worthy of our praise.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, You are my refuge and my defender. When I am hurt, misunderstood, or facing difficult situations, help me not to respond with anger or revenge. Search my heart and show me anything that needs to change. Give me wisdom to surrender the things I cannot control and trust You to handle what is beyond me.
Thank You because You know the truth, You see my heart, and You are a righteous Judge. Help me to keep my faith and continue praising You even in difficult seasons. I choose to trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. ❤️
