What We Do
We craft meaningful bangles for strong and creative women. The designs that we make tell different stories about how it is to be a woman in pursuit of her passions. We aim not only to make beautiful jewelry and accessories, but to create bangles that, when worn, inspire women and constantly remind them to persist at claiming their place in this world. Our crafts are made right in our a
rtist’s home in the Philippines. The Bangles
Our bangles are made of copper, in shades of rose gold and dark earthy red-brown, which our artist crafts by hand to create different intricate designs. Our artist incorporates different gemstones, natural stones, fused glass art and beadings into the designs to bring more life into the handcrafted bangles. Part of our ancient Filipino tradition is the practice of using certain stones to aid in both physical and spiritual healing. This is why our shop is named after the “babaylan”, which is the reference used for the female or female-identifying priestess, healer and leader of the ancient Filipino tribe. The Meaningfulness
Some of our bangles are wishes of love, good health, prosperity and courage. Some of our bangles speak of life’s laughable ironies and challenges, the adventure of self-realization and the romantic life of being true to your one-of-a-kind self. Still, there are many other stories and inspirations to explore in our collection. With every bangle is a card that tells you of the meaning of that particular design. This makes our bangles great gifts for oneself or for someone special. The Team
Our artist, Elaine Orozco, has been crafting these bangles by hand, and excelling in her passion, for more than 10 years. The campaign manager, Psyche Resus, has been living in San Francisco, U.S. and helping the venture explore a new shore.
