Six months ago, I boarded a plane back to Connecticut carrying far more uncertainty than answers.
After spending 2.5 years living in Portugal, my initial residency application was denied. I packed up my house, said goodbye to the life I had built, and returned to the U.S. to wait.
There were moments I wondered if this chapter had ended before it really began.
Today, I finally get to share the news I’ve been waiting six months to tell you.
My Portuguese self-employment visa has officially been approved. 🇵🇹✨
In just four weeks, Nate and I will be heading back across the Atlantic to begin this next chapter together.
Many of you know Across the Pond Products because of the jewelry, but the name has always been part of my own story. In 2018, while living in London for my master’s degree, I spent my free time exploring markets and traveling throughout Europe. I fell in love with how every culture expressed itself through jewelry. When I returned to Connecticut, across the Atlantic, “the pond,” I started this business as a way to carry those stories home. Now, the brand inspired by crossing the pond is about to do it once again.
Before I leave, I have just two more opportunities to see you in person before returning to Portugal. These will be my final U.S. pop-ups until I’m back for the holidays in December, and I would love to see you there.

To everyone who has supported this dream over the years, thank you. Whether you’ve purchased a piece, visited a market, shared my work, or simply followed along from afar, you’ve helped make this journey possible. I can’t wait to continue creating jewelry inspired by the places that make this world so extraordinary.
Portugal, I’ll see you soon. 🤍
