Our Know-How

Alexandra Matias graduated in Computer Engineering and completed a MBA at Catholic University of Lisbon. She managed many important IT projects while developing her true passion: jewelry.

When she completed a Gemology Course, she discovered the extraordinary beauty of gems and the world around them. After some years working in IT Consulting, she decided to give a new direction to her life, and acquired the necessary equipment to set up a laboratory. Currently, each stone that is bought or sold is analyzed by her.

To improve her competence, Alexandra Matias also took the Official Appraisal Course, so she could legally buy and sell jewels. After that, she opened a jewelry boutique at Rua Castilho, in Lisbon. The store is now called Alexandra Matias Jewelry. There, she provides a very exclusive and personal service to her guests.

Recently, after having explored the best and largest jewelry trading centers - such as Paris, London, Miami, Hong Kong, Las Vegas - Alexandra has more than one designer working exclusively with her.
