Each piece is made from precious metals, in small series or as one-off, with artistic timeless beauty created to enhance the wearer. All jewellery is hand made by Dilma Morais with joy, from her studio in Parede, near Lisbon in Portugal. Dilma’s intention for her work is that it inspires the wearer to set an intention before putting the piece on. “I create the work so that it will hold the energy that supports you. For this to have its full power, you can hold the piece & set your intention. Let the piece be charged with your wish and imagine it happening”. After studying Jewellery design in Lisbon, Portugal (1991-1994), Dilma moved to London and worked at Cox And Power jewellers in South Kensington for two years before she become self employed. Some pieces I completed today. I fully enjoyed making the little monkey. First i envision having him in a necklace but suddenly he wanted to hang near the face so he become an earring- soon to be gold plated by Giarte

I also enjoyed making the palm tree ring. I made it as if it was for me but will just need to make more of the same kind as I think it work beautifully.

And then, finally I used some flower casts I had for months or years, waiting for ideas … they are earrings now, to be gold plated as well.

Another piece you see: a pair of large silver leaf earrings. They are powerful and will wait for the right woman to claim them. I will keep them in silver.

One more piece, it’s made out of a lace and it’s a brooch. I’m happy with it.

There’s a friendly happy market near Figueira once a month FAVO

It’s tomorrow, 12/9 from 3-8pm
There are crafts, art works, second hand goods etc, great yummy food and live music. The market is in the garden and there’s a hippy local feel.

I have been doing markets and events here in Algarve. It is quite a lot of work standing in a stall for long hours and some times not selling any item but I like exposing at this lovely restaurant called Encci in Carvoeiro. There is a happy, light, clean and sophisticated atmosphere. I recommend!
