Escape the heat of the midday sun under the shade of our living relic, a magnificent ancient olive tree believed to be over 600 years old! Keep in touch with family and friends with complimentary access to fast fibre optic Wifi, available in all areas of the property. Here in Cumieira you can experience true Portuguese rustic living so don’t be surprised if you bump into one of the local shepherds herding their sheep whilst you’re out walking in the village! Explore the numerous delightful river beaches, which are dotted around the area or alternatively head out to the coast, an easy 50 minute drive to the breathtaking silver coast. For the more active and adventurous there are an abundance of hiking and mountain bike trails to discover in the region. You won’t need to go far to enjoy typical traditional Portuguese food as there are plenty of excellent, reasonably priced restaurants within easy reach. Although the village is set in a quiet, rural location, major road links to the larger towns and cities like Coimbra, Porto, Lisbon, Aveiro, Tomar and Fatima are easily accessed, helping you to get as much sightseeing out of your trip as you can. We have a few dates available for any last minute bookings.
Prices for our 1 bedroom high specification apartments start at just 70€ per night with a minimum stay of 2 nights.
Stays of 7 nights or more attract a 10% discount.
There are only a few dates available for August, however; there are plenty available for September which in my opinion is the best summer month to holiday in Portugal.

After all these years I've learnt today that the name of my village Cumeeira,translates into English as Ridge. It has to have something to do with our high and hilly location and or the local arable land is divided up into small burrows or parcels of land.
Either way there is at least 5-6 weeks before Autumn sets in and it's still sunbathing and pool swimming weather, so why not book in for a midweek or weekend break For those that book any dates up until 31/03/2019 we'll give you a whopping big 10% across the board discount.
Remember that when the chillier times arrive all of our 5 apartments have central heating and 3 of them also have traditional eco-friendly log burners.
