Tractive AB, manufacturer of the Pentruder concrete cutting systems acquires full ownership of Pentruder UK Ltd.

Tractive AB, manufacturer of Pentruder concrete cutting systems, is proud to announce the acquisition of Pentruder UK Ltd — a landmark step in the company's commitment to the UK and Irish markets.

Pentruder UK has been a cornerstone of the Pentruder European network since 2009, and the joining of the two family businesses ensures the continuation and further strengthening of that legacy. With the full backing of Tractive AB, Pentruder UK is exceptionally well-positioned to bring even greater value to its customers across the UK and Ireland.

Graham Crewe, who has led Pentruder UK with distinction for many years, will continue as CEO during a transition period, and his daughter Lydia Allitt will assume gradual leadership of the business.

With a dedicated and proven team with deep market knowledge, and the resources of Tractive AB behind it, Pentruder UK has entered an exciting new chapter.

Tractive AB in Sweden is a family-owned company specialized in design and manufacturing of two different product lines, Tractive motorsport transmissions and Pentruder concrete cutting machines. Our Pentruder range of concrete cutting equipment is technically leading in its niche and well-known for quality and performance.

Yesterday we had a great visit from our Danish distributor JD Diamantværktøj A/S and their customers! Always fun to show how the Pentruder products are being made from design to finished product.

Heavy-duty drilling in a steel plant 🔥

Last week, the Swedish concrete cutting and demolition company Void AB used the Pentruder MD1 heavy-duty core drill for a demanding project at a steel plant.

The job: drilling a 1040 mm hole through 35 mm steel, with a total depth of 400 mm, all within a 2-day shutdown.

The purpose was to create an emergency outlet in a VTD degasser tank. In case of a ladle failure (up to 100 tons of molten steel at ~1500°C), the steel can melt an aluminum plug and flow through a refractory-lined channel down into a pit where it can safely cool.

Due to the risk of heat deformation, core drilling was chosen instead of thermal cutting. Gas cutting was only used afterward to split and remove the drilled core.

Our Pentruder has been working extremely hard last year so it needs some proper TLC. Change everything that needs to be changed, please check cables, connections and hoses.

It’s a big pleasure to continue to work with this old workhorse which now is celebrating 20 years out on the field!

As many of you know by now, we don’t send Christmas gifts to our customers or partners. Instead every year around Christmas Tractive AB gives a donation to charity. This year we have chosen to support a local charity organization in our hometown with food, fruit and eggs for the homeless. Every week during 2026 the groceries will be delivered to ”RIA Hela Människan” so they can give to those who need it.
