Swedish Sambo Federation has been at an international tournament in Berlin (Germany). The national team had brought three representatives, Jonathan Svennson, Fannie Redman and Tony Blomqvist, coach Murat Tlupov. This tournament consisted of sports sambo and combat sambo. There were 17 countries that participated in this tournament with a good quality of those who fought. Jonathan Svensson took home a gold medal in the sport sambo and one silver in combat sambo. Fannie Redman won the silver medal in sport sambo . A good result for the first trip with our National team. We got a good response from Fias (Sambo International Federation) general secretary and hope for a good cooperation with Fias and European Sambo Federation. We look forward to more international competitions and more medals.

On November 7, Swedish Team in Sambo goes to Berlin in Germany in an international tournament organized by the FIAS (International Federation of Sambo). The people who will represent Sweden are: Jonathan Svensson, Fannie Redman, Tony Blomqvist, Karl Albrektsson and Matti Mäkelä. All Fighters Coming from Pancrase Gym in Stockholm.

Elblag, Poland – IV International Competition in Sport and Combat SAMBO took place.

The Sweden sportsmen took part in the Competition for the first time. Under the leadership of the current coach Viktor Zotov, native of Kaliningrad, who has been living and promoting SAMBO in Goteborg for several years, the team was able to win medals of different value. Thus, Svensson Jonatan won bronze in weight category up to 74 kg (combat SAMBO) losing only to Mater of Sports of the Russian Federation Ilyas Omarov, and Osmaev Bilal was second to skillful Sokolovas Magnidas from Lithuania in the weight category up to 82 kg (sport SAMBO). Viktor Zotov himself won the gold medal in the heavy weight category +100 kg.
