Most everyday drinkware is designed for passive consumption.

When crafting The Sensory Cup, we chose to remove the handle entirely. A handleless vessel requires presence—it asks you to cradle the cup with both hands, feeling the calibrated thermal mass radiate through dense, high-fire stoneware.

Each piece features high-temperature reactive glazes, yielding organic mineral transitions unique to every firing. Shown here in Sulfur Lake: warm marigold tones transitioning into vitrified ivory.

Crafted from deep navy full-grain cowhide, the volume is bound using traditional hand-tensioned stitching across eight signatures. The result is structural integrity that allows heavy 120gsm paper to lie completely flat when opened, secured by an adjustable leather strap and a solid brass monk’s head stud.
