Back in 1959, when Founder CK Woo was still an apprentice, he received a request from a customer to imprint the message “Martha 1959” on the dial of his old Diver watch that he was wearing. He told CK Woo that his wife had passed away and he would like to be reminded of her every day. After several weeks, CK Woo successfully imprinted the words on the dial of the customer’s watch and he referred many of his friends who did similar personalisation of their expensive timepieces with CK Woo.
As he thrived upon this trend, he saved up and started his own watch brand in 1970, focusing on producing quality timepieces that are made with meaning. Refusing to compromise on quality and fuelled by a strong passion for watches, Aries Gold now has its own in-house watchmaking team and high-tech machinery located in Singapore, allow them to create made-to-order high quality personalised timepieces in just a matter of days. With its mantra to create watches made with meaning, Aries Gold is now an International brand with an established presence in more than 35 countries.

Made in Singapore
All of our design, prototyping, and assembly are done in our Singapore office. We have more than 40 years of experience in manufacturing premium watches and our team of watchmakers have more than 20 years of experience in watchmaking and are capable of assembling even complex mechanical watches. Our watchmaking tools and machinery are also sourced from Switzerland to maintain high quality standards of manufacturing.
Specifications
We believe in using only premium materials and manufacturing processes as quality is more important than price. We believe that customers can tell the difference and will appreciate the quality that we offer.
Stainless steel – Our watches uses 316L surgical grade stainless steel for extra resistance towards corrosion.
Movement – We only use high quality Quartz or Automatic Japanese movements from Miyota or Seiko Instruments for a high level of accuracy and stability.
Sapphire Glass – We use premium sapphire glass for maximum protection. It is much more expensive, but more scratch resistant and durable than the mineral glass that other brands usually use.
Anti-Reflective Coating – All Aries Gold watches have anti-reflective coating for better legibility. The coating is commonly used in more premium Swiss made brands and cost another extra 2 to 5 US dollars
Leather – We use dual-sided leather straps for improved resistance against water and dirt, and quick release pins for ease of strap change
Warranty – All Aries Gold watches carry a 2-year International warranty against manufacturer’s defects for fuss-free customer experience.
Our Team
CK Woo - Founder
Founder of the brand, CK Woo started his watchmaking journey as an watch repair apprentice. He assembled his first mechanical timepiece at the age of 14, which sparked off his interest in watchmaking. At a grand age of 75, CK Woo is now the figurehead of the company. With more than 60 years of experience in watchmaking, he is a valuable mentor to the team.
James Woo – General Manager
Veteran in the watch retail industry, James has more than 15 years of experience in the watch industry. He uses his acumen for business and retail experience to lead the team and contribute effectively in retail management, marketing and sales.
Elijah Woo – Product Development and Marketing
A graduate from Singapore Management University, Elijah is a product development geek. He is extremely passionate about design and spends most of his time with his designers and engineers on making our products better. He also heads the marketing team and is in charge of the brand’s development and growth.
Carissa Tan – Sales and Operations
Carissa Tan is a business graduate from Singapore Management University. She is an expert in data analytics and operations. She handles all operational matters for the brand and is also in charge of overseas export sales to over 35 countries.
