That was how the couple’s ring journey began.

As they tried on a variety of designs, they naturally found themselves drawn to “Deserto.”

For him, it was a shape that felt comfortable even if the ring turned on his finger.
For her, it was the slender silhouette that beautifully complemented her hand.

Although they were paying attention to different details, it was memorable how they both fell in love with the same design.

Inside the rings, a portrait engraving of the couple was added, making them even more personal and meaningful.

The design “Deserto” also carries the wish for clear, sunny days to continue ahead.

Just like the meaning behind these rings, may bright and joyful days continue to unfold in a way that is uniquely yours.

One detail the couple cared deeply about was the milgrain decoration along the edges of the rings.
The size of each delicate bead was carefully considered—not too large, not too small—so that it would create a subtle presence while still feeling naturally at home on the hand.

For the centre finish, they chose a honed matte texture.
Its rich, deep matte surface creates a beautiful contrast against the sparkle of the milgrain detailing.

“The days spent waiting for our rings became precious days to us.”
Those were the words the couple shared with us.

For the base design, they chose “Marcato,” a ring that balanced their individual preferences with a sense of togetherness.

She carefully considered the size and setting of each diamond, pouring her thoughts and feelings into every detail.
He, in turn, added a matte finish that follows the flow of her diamond arrangement, creating a subtle connection between the two rings.

Because their registration day was still some time away, they were able to take their time and enjoy the process without rushing.

Wanting to make the experience of ring making last even longer, the couple decided to create trial rings as part of the journey.

And when the long awaited wedding rings were finally completed, after all the time and care they had invested, they became even more precious and beloved than before.

On 4 June, ith celebrates its 12th anniversary.

Since opening our small atelier in Kichijoji in 2014, ith has grown through countless encounters with our customers. The moments, memories, and stories created through ring making have become treasures beyond measure for us.

We hope to continue being a presence that supports not only the rings themselves, but also the time spent creating them and the lives that unfold thereafter. By embracing change while staying true to our origins, we will continue creating new value.

With gratitude for these twelve years.

Personally, I have never been particularly fond of ideas such as “this is how things should be” or “this is how things must be.” Looking back, however, I realised there were many things I had come to take for granted.

I want to remain someone who continues to see the world from many different perspectives, someone whose thinking remains broad, rich, and open.

By reexamining ith with both depth and flexibility, I believe new possibilities will reveal themselves.

From our beginnings to where we stand today, much has changed. Yet no matter how the world evolves, I hope ith will remain independent, resilient, and true to itself.

Like roots stretching deep beneath the soil, I want this coming year to be one in which we take the time to revisit the foundations of ith, reflect carefully on who we are, and act with intention.

A design that brings excitement to the heart.

For the engagement ring, the couple carefully explored designs that would make her heart flutter,
while also cherishing his heartfelt desire to give something truly meaningful.

The chosen design, “Fiore,” is an organic and expressive ring that brightens the hand beautifully even when worn on its own.

For the wedding rings, they respected each other’s wishes while also trusting their own intuition throughout the process.

In fact, the couple shared that by the time they came to the atelier, they had already become exhausted from searching for rings.

“What truly felt like us…”
That was the reason the couple chose these rings.

Because the design is simple, they wanted a form with just a touch of presence.

“Moderato” was the perfect match for those feelings.
A softly flowing design that almost resembles two people holding hands.

And within the rings, a single diamond was set on the outside of hers and on the inside of his,
symbolising the strong bond they share.
