Losing a parent is hard enough. Losing one just before a celebration, that’s a different kind of grief entirely.

That was Leroy’s reality.

All he wanted was to feel his dad close. So we made sure he didn’t have to face it without him.

Joanne and her partner didn’t arrive at this moment easily.
