Ah Keng is a national treasure and the icon of antiques in Singapore. I've known him since 1990s when our antique shop was at the old Blk C of Clarke Quay, was opposite the road, still operating under a zinc roof shack next to the demolished Van Kleef aquarium opposite Liang Court.

Very happy to chat with Keng again, sharing our old stories and friends in the industry then when I shared with him that we just did the RetroKulture event last Sunday, he suddenly gave me a present. An antique brass magnifying glass so we can use at the counter 😊 Ah Keng is 82 this year & he's very healthy. Wishing him many more years to come & I'll return to visit again.

Part II of the official images from RetroKulture.

We had over a thousand people turned up including fur kids and they were entertained by 4 DJs while a guest played some jazz pieces on our baby G for our indoor clients. This was really a fusion event where you could find 2 wheels, 4 and even 3 while we had local vendors selling hand made leather to embroidery and vintage items to toys and a fashion designer. Drinks, ice cream and craft b**r were sold throughout the day.

Our Maison Passions hosted 8 watch vendors that had everything from vintage Seiko, Soviet military issues to solid gold Rolex Submariner from the 1970s and Patek Philippe from 1950s.

That’s a wrap on our first-ever RetroKulture event! A massive thank you to everyone who made it happen, especially our 34 amazing vendors. Your hard work in promoting the event and supporting our local scene truly shows the power of community. Our network is stronger than ever!

It was a joy to see so many friends from the motoring world—on two, three, and four wheels! Thank you for the support, from managing traffic to staying late to help us wrap up. With about 1,000 people turning up (babies and pets included!), the energy was incredible. We were also thrilled to award our 'Most Stylish Gentleman' prize to Mr. Pico from Belgium!

The atmosphere was nothing short of invigorating. RetroKulture is truly a place where memories are made.
