Huge thanks to Pauline, one of our users, for sharing this heartfelt column by Dawn Tan, Senior Columnist.

Dawn reflects on her time living through Beijing's smog, and how differently she experiences Singapore’s haze now that she is home. We were pleasantly surprised to see her mention the Totobobo Mask in her story.

If you also own an older Totobobo and have run into the same issue, ear straps that have disintegrated over time, we have good news. Replacement ear straps are now available on our website, at an affordable price.

A more modern way of securing the filter cap is to simply straps the cap to the bottom of the filter holder, as shown in the video.

Quick tip: How to secure your filter caps properly

We sometimes hear from users that the filter caps come loose or fall off. After looking into it, we found a common misunderstanding about how the rubber bands should be used.

❌ Left photo: One rubber band holding both caps. This is not secure. When the mask opens, the tension direction changes and the band can loosen.

✅ Right photo: Use one rubber band for each cap. This keeps each cap secured independently, so the mask opening does not affect the tension. Much more secure.

Please keep this in mind whenever you change your rubber bands or filters. If unsure, follow the right-side example.

This message from a customer in Boston made our day. 🚴

Li Jiun commutes 40km every day through heavy urban traffic. After 1.5 years of long rides, she started noticing health effects — thick mucus, dry cough — but stopping cycling simply wasn't an option.

"I am grateful for the mask such that I can still enjoy long rides in a busy urban city."

— Li Jiun Chen, Google Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

That's why we do what we do. Every filter changed, every kilometre ridden safely — it counts.

If you're a Totobobo user, we'd love to hear your story too. Leave us a Google review before 30 April 2026 and we'll send you a personal discount code as a thank-you. 🎁
