The woman’s ring takes its design from the man’s, with intertwining blooms that speak of two lives growing together. Their forms are carefully shaped and refined by the craftsman, carrying the detail and artistry of Peranakan jewellery into a contemporary design.

We were honoured to be invited by Alvin Oon and Peranakan Sayang to be part of the inaugural Peranakan Fest 2026.

It was a meaningful celebration of Peranakan culture, bringing together heritage, food, craft, community and stories that continue to be passed from one generation to the next.

For Foundation Jewellers, being part of the Bazaar gave us the opportunity to share a little of what we hold close to heart: the artistry of Peranakan jewellery, the craftsmanship behind each piece, and the ways in which tradition can continue to evolve while remaining connected to its roots.

Our heartfelt thanks to Alvin for the invitation, and to the team behind Peranakan Fest for creating a space where the community could come together to celebrate and discover with our shared heritage.

Last weekend, Peranakan Reimagined brought together cultural advocates, culinary advocate, designers, models, and curious minds from different walks of life.

What made the experience special wasn't just the sharing of knowledge, but the conversations that followed. The questions asked, the stories exchanged, and the connections formed along the way.

From insightful discussions and cultural showcases to shared meals and meaningful encounters, every contribution helped shape the experience.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for being part of this journey.

One piece of feedback we heard repeatedly was a desire to see more gatherings like this. More opportunities to learn, connect, and engage with the people and traditions that continue to shape our cultural landscape.

For us, that is perhaps the most encouraging takeaway of all.

Your presence reminded us that culture and heritage continue to thrive when people come together to learn, share, and participate.
