Some legacies are inherited.
Others are rebuilt for a new generation.

We’re honoured to welcome Eugene Tan as one of the featured speakers for Peranakan Reimagined by Foundation Jewellers.

Representing the second generation behind his family’s nasi padang business, Eugene continues a journey that began with his father, while bringing new perspectives to a familiar local favourite. Balancing tradition with modern expectations, he represents a new generation of food entrepreneurs reshaping heritage businesses for today’s audience without losing the essence of what made them meaningful in the first place.

Join us as Eugene shares his journey of carrying forward a family legacy, the realities of modernising traditional food businesses, and how heritage continues to evolve through each new generation.

Some traditions are not preserved loudly.
They survive through patience, detail, and the quiet dedication of the hands that continue making them.

We’re honoured to welcome Angeline Kong, sixth-generation Peranakan artisan and founder of Nyonya Needlework & Crafts, as one of the featured speakers for Peranakan Reimagined by Foundation Jewellers.

At Foundation Jewellers, every piece begins the same way.
Quietly. Intentionally. By hand.

Long before it is worn, it is shaped
through patience, precision, and a deep respect for craft.

This is what has always guided us.
And it is also what inspired Peranakan Reimagined.

A space where heritage is not just displayed,
but experienced
through craft, food, and conversations.

From one, we were formed.
Not separate, but belonging.
Not divided, but joined.
Love is not measured by the moment,
but by what endures beyond it.
Some pieces are created to be worn.
Others are created to be kept,
and carried forward.
