SwissCham Singapore and ZHAW brought together ZHAW entrepreneurs, executive education students, Singapore alumni and SwissCham Young Professionals for an informal networking evening.

💬 It was a great opportunity to exchange experiences, meet fellow professionals and strengthen ties between the ZHAW and SwissCham communities.

🏗️ Building sustainably in the tropics: how can design, materials and engineering make a difference?

At our recent session, “Building for the Tropics: Design, Climate, and Sustainability”, industry experts shared practical approaches to creating more sustainable buildings in tropical climates.

🌿 Manuel Der Hagopian of G8A Architecture & Urban Planning presented examples from Singapore and Vietnam, highlighting passive design and natural ventilation.

🤝 A panel moderated by Laurent C. brought together Kento Kosaka of Holcim Trading, Manuel Der Hagopian, Tim Tan of Affordable Abodes and Tony Nogaredes of Hilti Asia Pacific to discuss natural materials, engineering solutions, efficient material use and the challenges of scaling sustainable practices.

We were pleased to take part in the career fair at EHL Singapore, meeting students interested in our organisation and the opportunities we offer.

🎉 Celebrating 30 years of MSC in Singapore!

SwissCham Singapore was pleased to attend MSC Asia Regional Office and MSC Singapore’s 30 Years of Excellence Dinner on 8 October, celebrating three decades of growth and partnership.

Representing SwissCham were Julie Raneda, President; Anne Schalper, Executive Director; Tim Wieringa, Co-chair of the Climate Tech Committee; and Bastien Touzeau, Co-chair of the Hospitality Committee.

🌏 The evening recognised MSC’s contribution to Singapore’s maritime sector, its commitment to sustainability and its long-standing partnerships.

✨ A special highlight was an exclusive dessert created by renowned Singaporean pastry chef Janice Wong.

Congratulations to MSC on this important milestone, and thank you to Grace Chia and the MSC team for the invitation and a memorable evening!

🌟 SwissCham Singapore was pleased to attend the 2026 edition of Break the Ceiling Touch the Sky®, organised by House of Rose Professional in Singapore.

Our Executive Director, Anne Schalper, and Aline Anliker, Co-chair of the Women in Leadership Committee, joined leaders and professionals from across Asia to exchange perspectives on female empowerment and leadership.

It was also a pleasure to hear SwissCham member Jerrica Chooi, Country Holding Officer at ABB Singapore, speak on stage, and to reconnect with members from Novartis and fellow chamber representatives.

🤝 These conversations highlight the importance of supporting women in leadership, fostering inclusion and learning from one another across industries.
