Coninco Group Company Trip to Malaysia – 19 July 2025

On 19 July 2025, Coninco Group organised a memorable company trip to Malaysia, aimed at fostering camaraderie among colleagues while offering a unique cultural and agricultural experience. The highlight of the trip included a durian buffet and an educational visit to a local pineapple farm.

The group set off early from Singapore at around 7:30 AM. However, due to an unexpected system outage at the Malaysian checkpoint, we were only able to cross into Malaysia at approximately 12:30 PM. As a result, some planned activities had to be cancelled due to time constraints.

Our first stop was a durian farm in Pekan Nanas. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the hospitable hosts. A delicious spread of local food was served before we indulged in the much-anticipated durian buffet. The durians were fresh and flavorful, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. For many of us, it was a delightful and unforgettable treat.

Following our durian feast, we made our way to Nictar Farm, just a short 5-minute drive away. Upon arrival, we were served freshly produced pineapple juice, which was sweet and refreshing. During the farm tour, we learned that there are 18 varieties of pineapple, and Nictar Farm proudly cultivates 16 of them. This informative session gave us valuable insights into pineapple farming—an eye-opener for many who had never seen a pineapple plantation up close. We also had the opportunity to sample freshly harvested pineapples and explore the farm grounds. Many of us purchased their locally made pineapple juice to take home.

Next, we visited a local biscuit factory showcasing a variety of traditional Malaysian snacks and delicacies at affordable prices. It was a great opportunity for us to purchase unique products not commonly found in Singapore.

At around 4:45 PM, we headed to Laman Mahkota in Pontian town for a brief sightseeing stop. The seaside venue was scenic and breezy, although the sun was still quite intense at the time.
To end our day on a high note, we proceeded to a local restaurant for dinner at 5:30 PM. The meal was exceptional—the seafood dishes were fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. Everyone left the restaurant feeling satisfied and happy with the quality and taste of the food.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Top Management of Coninco Group for organising this meaningful and enjoyable trip. It was a wonderful day that brought us closer together as one big family. We look forward to more exciting overseas outings in the future.

Fire Drill Exercise at Our Premises

We recently conducted a fire drill exercise at our premises to enhance emergency preparedness among all personnel and staff. As part of the drill, a live demonstration on the proper use of fire extinguishers was also carried out. This exercise is an essential component of workplace safety and is a mandatory requirement that must be properly documented.
The drill aimed to ensure that everyone is aware of the designated assembly point in the event of a fire and is equipped with the basic knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in an emergency situation. Through this fire drill, all employees gained practical experience in evacuating the premises safely and learned how to operate a fire extinguisher correctly.
We believe that preparedness can save lives, and this exercise has significantly contributed to reinforcing our commitment to safety in the workplace.

It was a significant moment for Concrete Innovators Co Pte Ltd, as we successfully manufactured and delivered the first batch of precast segments for this project. During our visit, we were impressed by the scale of the installed precast segments—they were larger than we had anticipated and designed to provide spacious and convenient access for pedestrians. The completion of the first phase of coring and precast segment installation marks an important milestone in the project.



We also appreciate the strong support from Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co Pte Ltd, the project's main contractor. Their cooperation and assistance throughout the fabrication process have been instrumental in ensuring smooth and efficient delivery.

Delivery of Precast Segments for N109A Project

Concrete Innovators Co Pte Ltd has made significant strides in the ongoing N109A project, successfully delivering 8 precast segments for the pedestrian subway tunnel that will connect to the Teck Ghee Station on the future Cross Island Line. This accomplishment is part of a larger supply contract for 62 precast segments, with installation by the main contractor set to begin in November 2024.

The arrival of the Rectangular Tunnel Boring Machine (RTBM) marks a crucial phase in the project, with its installation currently taking place underground. The presence of the RTBM enhances the likelihood of meeting the project's timelines, ensuring that the installation of the precast segments proceeds according to schedule.

To maintain efficiency and prevent any delays, our team has meticulously planned the casting of the precast segments in alignment with the Shanghai Tunnel's timeline, the project's main contractor. This coordination will facilitate a seamless installation process once the segments arrive on-site.

Coninco's commitment to excellence and timely delivery has been crucial for the successful ex*****on of this project. Celebration of a Milestone: CONINCO Successfully Completes Precast Segment Casting for J108 Project on 19 Sept 2024.

We are proud to announce that on 19 September 2024, CONINCO successfully completed the casting of 1,354 precast segments for the prestigious J108 Project under the Jurong Region Line (JRL). This major milestone marks a significant achievement, as it is the first project under the JRL to complete the casting of precast segments, and CONINCO did so with great pride and dedication.

The segments were cast using 10 different types of moulds, each varying in complexity and size. This project stands as a testament to the hard work and sheer effort of the entire CONINCO team. Supported by the unwavering backing of the management, the team worked tirelessly to ensure the timely and precise completion of the precast segments.

CONINCO’s Managing Director, Mr. Ting Huong Tek, expressed immense pride in the team's accomplishment, acknowledging the collective dedication that led to this success. "This remarkable milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the extraordinary effort from every team member. The dedication and precision shown throughout this project reflect the core values of our company," he said.

In recognition of this achievement, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and the Main Contractor awarded CONINCO with a Certificate of Commendation for the successful completion of the precast segment casting for the JRL-J108 Project. Mr. Ting graciously accepted the award on behalf of the company, cementing CONINCO’s reputation for excellence in the field of precast concrete manufacturing.

To celebrate this milestone, a simple yet meaningful gathering was organized, bringing together representatives from LTA, Maincon, QPS, QPD, and various subcontractors involved in the project. Maincon prepared a spread of food as a token of appreciation for the attendees, and a symbolic activity took place where participants laid their hands and signed wet-planks. These wet-planks, which captured the team’s effort and dedication, will later be displayed in the completed J108 station as a lasting reminder of the project’s success.

CONINCO extends its heartfelt congratulations to the entire team for their dedication and teamwork, making this project a historic accomplishment for the company. With this success, the future of precast concrete innovation looks bright, and CONINCO is ready to take on new challenges with the same commitment and excellence.

Coninco Top Management sponsored staff and their families to participate in the recently concluded Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2023 held on 01 to 03 Dec 2023. A total of 36 individuals, including both staff and family members, took part in various categories, such as the 700m children's dash, 5km, 10km, and 21 km. This marks the second consecutive year of top management sponsorship, aiming to motivate staff to engage in such significant events for a healthier and more active lifestyle. All participating staff successfully completed the marathon, earning a well-deserved medal as a reward for their hard work.

Coninco remains committed to encouraging staff to actively engage in similar events, fostering a sense of unity and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Looking ahead, Coninco Management anticipates an even greater turnout next year, with full subsidization from the management.
